A beautiful female wildlife photographer is discovered savagely murdered deep in the forest. The killer is believed to be a mysterious recluse known as 'the Mountain Man'. Waymon Hill, veteran Arkansas' Ouachita National Forest outdoor guide, is called upon to help law enforcement track down the slayer. Things go wrong when it is discovered that Hill and the woman shared a romantic relationship and was intimate with her shortly before her death. Hill must find the elusive Mountain Man - or become the prime suspect.
