When native soldiers rebelled against the British, Zafar was accused of Mutiny. To which he exclaimed, how can an emperor mutiny against his own subjects? When finally British succeeded in quelling the rebellion, Zafar's two sons and a grandson were brutally murdered by Captain Hodson.
