Bag om Proving God Beyond a Reasonable Doubt
Perhaps the first question that one would seek to answer for themselves when looking at an introduction would be, "Is this book for me?" While I'd like to believe anyone would find value in this book, there was a primary audience in my mind as I wrote it, though I kept everyone else in mind as I hung my ornaments on that main theme and focus. My primary audience is best described as a Christian professor who had faith at one time, or is making every effort to have faith now, but has found it difficult to buy into all aspects of that faith, because Christians and other religious sources have fallen short in defending those beliefs against the scientific or historic facts presented which seem to contradict those beliefs. I would hope to provide them enough support for what they want to believe so that they can come into a deeper faith than was possible before. If you need to be assured that I did not begin this writing with a desire to force my own ideas on others, I assure you that I began my life with no faith whatsoever other than starting out as an Agnostic flirting with concerns that I may have to become an Atheist if the facts didn't start coming to save me, and I did reach a near panic at times that there may be no God. But though I risked nearly tearing my own mind and soul apart with the things I had to read and consider, when I finally decided to trust in the Word of God, and test it against the facts, the Word of God won out. I would hope in the hearing of this, you would not give up right away on this book, because you may find it very interesting how the facts from the many scientific, archaeological, Biblical and historical sources did ultimately come out to support what most thought could never be proven, God.
