In Henrik Ibsens Drama "Puppenheim", wird die Geschichte von Nora und Torvald Helmer erzählt. Nach und nach bröckelt die scheinbar perfekte Fassade ihres Familienlebens und es wird deutlich, dass Nora in eine Rolle gezwungen wurde, die sie nicht erfüllen konnte. Eine feministische Interpretation des Stoffs lässt sich hier genauso anwenden wie eine Gesellschaftskritik und eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema der Manipulation.
