Bag om Something Knew
Only days after the infamous Divel Necklace appeared at last weekend's Water's wedding, sisters Diane and Donna (Waters) return to Bermuda to view the priceless triangular heirloom that has been passed down to Diane's daughter per 400 years of family tradition (since the first wedding in Bermuda). Donna avoided her niece's wedding because of what happened thirty years ago at Diane's, but now feels called to view the little devil. The royal necklace has always had the uncanny ability to get people to do the strangest things around it. Donna knows this not only because she's an historian, but a seer as well. She senses something is wrong with the necklace; that maybe the new set of charms that were gathered by the newlyweds to oppose its curse are compromised in some way. Can Clarke Dearborne, Winston Tuttleberry, and the rest of the Princess Hotel's security force, produce the Divel after it made one of its storied runs for the open sea last weekend. There are two known Divels-one real, one replica. Plus, the extra copy (making 3-a most bad triangular number around these parts) that only Clarke and Benny- the-fence know of. Benny wants the real McCoy back. Donna doesn't, but is seeking it out of concern for her niece.Diane is relieved to be rid of the water-cursed thing. After failing in her own shady quest to keep the Divel away from her daughter last weekend (tradition or not), she's leaving Donna to it this week-more concerned with Clarke, booze and her new old cigarette habit that pisses off her hurricane-obsessed husband. And then there's Clarke, who wants to run for his life with one of his girlfriends after lives were almost lost during one of the most messed up perfect crimes there ever was. But stodgy Tuttleberry, partner-in-crime Benny, flirty Diane, determined Donna, and let's not forget the Divel and all the other cast of characters swirling around it like a human hurricane, are not quite done with what remains of Clarke's shredded no-longer-innocent life.
