Bag om Something Like Love
Karrie Mallory needs a break from her stressful job as an ER nurse in Phoenix, Arizona. A few years into the job, she tells herself she's become immune to the trauma, the blood, and the life or death drama she often sees on a daily basis. But the drug-overdose of a young teen-a face Karrie has seen before-is enough to shake her up and make her rethink her life choices. She needs a break from her personal life, too, and a family situation back home in Illinois is just the remedy. Karrie takes some time away from her job and her cliché affair with the ER attending physician to go home and lend her sister and her kids a hand after a serious accident hospitalizes her brother-in-law. The trouble is, Karrie's sister doesn't want her there. With her own life up in the air, her sister's cold shoulder drives Karrie to her old school gym where she finds sanctuary on the basketball court. Nothing like good, old-fashioned exercise to drive those emotional demons out. Daxton Law quit his IT job in Chicago to come back home and coach his former school's boys' basketball team. Some might say he failed in the big city, and some might say he's living in the past, but Dax doesn't deal in gossip or drama. His ex-wife didn't want kids, and the coaching position is the perfect fit for a former basketball star who loves the game and the kids. Sparks fly when Dax finds Karrie on the basketball court one evening. His mouth gets him in trouble, and though he and Karrie sweat it out on the court, she's tough as nails and refuses to believe he's not the same hotshot guy he was back in the day. The more time they spend together, the more Dax realizes he's not just after Karrie's delicious curves and long, tan legs. He wants more, starting with her trust. Can Dax convince Karrie that there's a little something like love between them?
