Amanda grew up on a farm in country Victoria, Australia where her passion for writing & illustrating was sparked at a young age. Farm life taught Amanda how challenging life could be, but it also showed her the joy that animals and nature bring to people. She expresses this joy through her characters and the brightness in her books.
Lynette Diss, Amanda's mother, has again helped Amanda created stunning Australian scenery for this book, in between helping on the farm in Langley and spending time with her twelve grandchildren.
