Raymond Scott had been raised by a single mother until he was 12 years old. His mother then met a man named, James McNair and married him. For several months, Ray was happy that his mom had found someone until eventually, the man she married started raping him. Needless to say his step father threatened to kill him and his mother if he ever told anyone and therefore he never spoke a single word of it until Lionel Gibson came along.
