They have to banish the curse and free the thirteen spirits it holds before the California Parks Department starts developing the cave as a tourist attraction. While searching for answers, Quinn is given a clue that nearly kills him and the trio quickly learn that it's going to take more than a shovel and a notebook to solve this particular mystery. The three of them rush across northern California where they find a cavern that holds the answers they need. In the end, the spirits aren't the only things they are able to set free.
