Her own origin story is that of adoption, while other children are conceived and born into their families. Some families have a single parent, others have two parents of same gender or two parents of different genders. Still others have siblings, while some don't. She comes to appreciate that though she loves her family, each one is special in its own way, and can evolve as we journey through life.
