Bag om The Cry of a Londoner
London is the centre of the UK's political and financial system. The year 2017 (Jewish calendar 5777) has been a significant year and we are living in turbulent times. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is calling out to us, if only we would listen. How long can we embrace deaf ears? Most of Tope Teniola's poems serve to illustrate a reminder that although we live in a fallen world, our greatest yearning is eternal love. The only true place to find such undying love is through the One who gives us the hope of salvation, that is, our LORD Jesus Christ - He is LOVE. Endorsements: This collection of poems is a testimony to Tope's journey of faith and her growth in faith. Though it covers a variety of issues but the centrality of her heart's desires that her life should reflect the glory of Jesus Christ her Saviour cannot be missed. The poems are birthed in Scripture. Tope's personalisation of Psalm 23 in the collection is especially very refreshing. I commend it to all readers. Ade Abiodun, Pastor, Burnt Oak Christian Fellowship (Apostolic Church) This collection of poems is a gem. Poetry is not my regular kind of reading. Therefore, to say that it has been a delight reading them is a true compliment to the Poet! Tope's creativity flows from her walk with God through her own life experiences. She looks at human vulnerability and its needs and entanglements. She is not afraid to bare her soul to her own needs for love, meaning in life and security. This she finds ultimate fulfilment in her God. These poems invoke a sense of awe of God and the special relationship with the poet. It invites the reader to explore and taste this same God.
