Bag om The Divine Comedy of the First Jewish Messiah
This book will really transform your reading of many biblical texts. Firstly, I would have you imagine the scenes of David, Saul, Doeg and Ahimelech on a stage. Imagine all the scenes as though they were in a play. You could not then but see that although some of the subject matter is clearly tragic, you will also see that some of it is very amusing. If you find it amusing do not be religious and try to make it serious as though Yahuwah does not have a sense of humor, that would be stupid. You may ask why would it be stupid? Because if humans can have a sense of humor and Yahuwah created us in his image obviously, he must have the greatest sense of humor of all. We have two sayings which can help give perspective on this. Solomon says, "a merry heart does good like medicine". The Wisdom of the Bible understand that laughter is medicine. This is paraphrased well by Stephen Backlund. Going out from the well-known "The joy of Yahuwah is your strength" he observes "God created your body to receive laughter as medicine" (Backlund). Lets add to this the fact that it is not just the joy of Yahuwah which the Bible says is our strength. The Apostle Paul says boldly "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". This term Christ means Mashiach or anointed. Well the Psalm applied to Jesus Christ in the book of Hebrews is just as revealing that Jesus has been anointed with the oil of joy above his brethren. Hence among Jesus and his disciples and Israel the most joyful, the funniest or the one who created the most laughter with joy was Jesus of Nazareth. Wherever he went tears would be turned to laughter, oil of joy would be spread instead of mourning, a garment of praise would be worn instead of a spirit of heaviness. The purpose being that we might be oaks of righteousness the planting of Yahuwah that he might be glorified. According to Abraham Abulafia if you read the story of Adam and Eve in its literal form it is equivalent to relating laughing matters. Like so many "religious" people today Abulafia protests, the Torah does not have the intention of relating laughing matters. But here Abulafia misses the point, it is exactly the purpose of the Torah and the rest of the Bible to relate laughing matters. If for Yahuwah, when his enemies set themselves together against Him and his Messiah and the Lord sits in heaven and laughs how much more will we laugh in the ordinary affairs of life. Thus, understand that when you find something funny in the stories analyzed in this book, laugh heartily and understand that Yahuwah intended for you to laugh. This is clear from Psalm 52 where the righteous find themselves laughing at the man who did not make God his trust. Secondly, this book is designed for Bible students, Professors, Pastors and Bible teachers. All are welcome to try and read it but it is written using Hebrew freely.
