The Everyday Christian's Guide to Forgiveness - Karen Laing - Bog

- : Putting the Past in the Past

Bag om The Everyday Christian's Guide to Forgiveness

This book is actually inspired by our jail ministry. As I was talking to one woman, she expressed at the end of our time together that she was feeling bad for her past and all her mistakes. God took over my mouth at that moment and I heard myself say, "You have asked for forgiveness and God has granted it to you. You need to learn and grow so you don't make the same mistakes, but you should not feel guilty or condemned." As she walked out of the visitation room and back to her cell, she said, "I need to hear more about that." And I thought, "So do I, Lord. She is in jail. Why shouldn't she feel guilty and condemned? She is guilty!" And God replied, "She asked for forgiveness. There is no condemnation in Christ or in the universe that I created. Satan is the accuser, not me. I forgave her. She needs to forgive herself. She needs to ask forgiveness of the person she harmed. But it cannot come from a place of guilt. It must come from a place of love. She needs to know how much I love her. And then God told me to write about forgiveness. This book is that writing. I hope it helps you to learn to forgive and accept forgiveness. And get a new understanding of how much God loves you.
