Bag om The Fifth Pinnacle
When Carter Landcaster shows up at his 75-year-old grandfather's house, he has no idea what he's walking into. The aging process is being manipulated by a small group of people, and Carter is stunned to see a much younger version of his gramps at his door. In less than 24 hours, his gramps suddenly disappears. Thus, begins a search into the little-known world of regenerated people. Secrets, lies, and astonishing powers baffle him in his attempts to track down his gramps. Carter never suspected that his own grandfather would become the key figure in saving and preserving the world. Nor does he suspect that inter-dimensional travel would help turn the tide.
Along the way, Carter discovers the real history of the earth as he learns some revelations about himself. His uncertainty--due to a babied upbringing--is slowly squashed by a building confidence, and his relationship with a girl--which has been on slippery ground--finally finds its footing. As this unfolds, his relationship with a co-worker named Dillon is sent into a frenzy when he learns of his involvement with his grandfather's disappearance. Flying words and fist-a-cuffs ensue.
During his attempts to locate his grandfather, Carter finds himself at the center of something much more important: A group of regenerated ones threaten to eradicate billions of people, not realizing that their plan will destroy the earth. Amidst the excitement and unexpected alliance is formed, and the race to save mankind is underway. Lexington, Kentucky is a key city where the two opposing sides finally clash, resulting in great destruction when the would-be mass murderers go face-to-face with a more powerful foe. Will the earth and its people be safe in the end?
