A millionaire offered to back the club. He rented a 13-room space on Broadway in San Francisco's "North Beach" topless entertainment district. We could honestly claim, "More women than men, more attractive than average, and most/all immediately available for dating." I (owner-author) would say, "If I could afford it, I'd join my own club."One hostess arrived for interview. She wore a huge afro, halter, micromini skirt with dingle balls, fishnets, and platform high heels. Asked what she did for a living? "I'm a professor at U.C Berkeley (true); I heard your club was a great place to have fun."The club lasted 32 years and over 2000 parties without a single incident of crime or violence. But, there were two busts, 1983 and 91, both for "suspicion of pimping, pandering, operating a house of prostitution, and running an escort service without a license".
