It also discusses the need to be directly involved in grandchildren's daily life activities--personal, social-emotional, and educational growth and development--as well as the need to work closely with medical professionals and educators to be able to make informed decisions about health and educational issues at home and at school. The book reminds grandparents of the need to keep themselves healthy by seeking and following through on periodic medical visits, getting needed rest and planning/taking personal time for themselves.
