The House On The Borderland - William Hope Hodgson - Bog

Bag om The House On The Borderland

The House On The Borderland is a classic horror novel written by William Hope Hodgson. It tells the story of a man who discovers a strange house in a remote area of Ireland. The house is surrounded by a vast, desolate wasteland, and the man soon realizes that it is not quite what it seems. Inside the house, he finds a journal written by a previous occupant, which tells of terrifying encounters with supernatural creatures and otherworldly dimensions. As the man explores the house and its surroundings, he becomes increasingly drawn into a dark and mysterious world of cosmic horror and madness. The House On The Borderland is a chilling and atmospheric tale that has influenced generations of horror writers and continues to captivate readers today.Very cautiously, I crept forward, and peered down; but could see nothing. Then, I crossed to the left of the passage, to see whether there might be any continuation of the path. Here, right against the wall, I found that a narrow track, some three feet wide, led onward. Carefully, I stepped on to it; but had not gone far, before I regretted venturing thereon. For, after a few paces, the already narrow way, resolved itself into a mere ledge, with, on the one side the solid, unyielding rock, towering up, in a great wall, to the unseen roof, and, on the other, that yawning chasm. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
