Jason King has spent years solving homicides in Seattle. On more than one occasion he's come close to dying. Now he's taken a new job, the Chief of South Warren's Police. He's hoping for a relaxing, stress-free life. Then his ex-girlfriend shows up, there's a body floating in Mats Bay and the previous Chief is missing under mysterious circumstances.
