Aiko is a young Asian American woman, who is 4th generation Japanese American. There's a mysterious person in her life, her grandfather. But he died in World War II and she never knew more than that. Until one day, a clue appears. She follows this clue and discovers a family secret and defying her father's warnings, she learns of the amazing love story between her grandparents while they were interned during World War II. However, that love story turns to heartache as her grandparents are separated when the grandfather goes off to Europe to fight the Nazis.
