The Waffle and the Pancake - Geza Tatrallyay - Bog

Bag om The Waffle and the Pancake

Little Alexandra and little brother Nicholas go out to pick berries in the forest. They get lost and can't return to their village. When confronted by an ugly witch with warts on her nose, they scream in fear. The witch would eat them, but their cries for help wake up the good forest giant Borbas who has been taking a nap. Borbas destroys the witch by stepping on her, turning her into a waffle. He looks forward to eating the witch-waffle with delicious maple syrup. The children, having been shown the right path, now head back home. Before they're out of the forest they're confronted by a hunchbacked ogre, also hungry. The children's cries for help once again summon Borbas to the rescue. This time he flattens the ogre under his feet, kicks it, and sends it flying into the air. The children are safe with their parents, so Borbas is surprised when his cell-phone rings again. This time it's his cousin Chauncey, in England, thanking him for the sizzling pancake which had just landed outside his cave. Chauncey knew it was from Borbas, from far-away America, because giants know everything.
