The effects of this abuse carried over to her teen years and beyond. Jean tells her story from her days as a child living in Brockton, Massachusetts, through her adult years. She shares how every facet of her life was affected by the abuse she experienced as a child. She also shares how her faith in God carried her through it all. Jean's hope is that her story may help others find the healing they need in dealing with the lasting effects of abuse. She shares her path from the dark days as a child with no voice to an adult living with low self-esteem, depression, anger, and guilt. Though all the toxic relationships, physical traumas and thoughts of suicide, God's love carried her through.
