Bag om Two Battles
Many books have been written either refuting the Five Points of Calvinism or defending them against the Five Articles of Arminianism. Also many have been written on the battle between 5 Solas and Catholicism. So why write another book on these debates? What is so different about Two Battles? The book is different from the others for the following reasons: It systematically evaluates the arguments of two different authors who reject all the Five Points of Calvinism (TULIP); it systematically evaluates Roman Catholic "theory of salvation" by applying the 5 Solas of Calvinism; it bases its arguments on sound principles of Bible interpretation overlooked by both Arminianism and Catholicism; it is precise and clear in its logical arguments to enable the reader quickly identify the key soteriological flaws; it tackles the tough verses head on; and its arguments recognize the perspectives of well-known theologians. The third and last chapter on how cults work gives a clear contrast to the biblical theology of salvation discussed in the first and second chapters. The book is an indispensable introduction to pastors, elders, ministry leaders, as well as lecturers and students of theology on the battle between Arminianism and Calvinism and between Catholicism and 5 Solas.
