SOUL MAN: Liverpool is the home of two lovers of Soul Music, Toby and Stephen. Their days are filled with the music as they fantasize of what it would be like to be there when the classic songs were recorded. Out of the blue they meet Tamsin, a singer in search of new material to realize her dream of stardom. With their knowledge of unknown gems from the past they are sure they can help. But Tamsin has her manager Vincent in tow and he has his own very different ideas concerning the life of a Soul Man. VON NEUMANN'S DAY: Jake Summers is an astronomer who suddenly finds himself banned from working. With no explanation given he seeks solace in a bar where he meets Nancy Kitson, a young lady fascinated by space. Jake promises to take Nancy to the observatory but that is the last thing either of them remember. But someone knows something because Jake and Nancy are being followed. They make a run for it, not knowing why they are fleeing or who it is coming after them. Then, Nancy's memory starts to return...
