Author John Louis Cimasi was born into a farm family of eight in Portland, a small farming village in Western New York State. He received a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from SUNY at Buffalo (UB) and his Master's Degree in Information Technology from Regis University in Colorado. After serving for four years in the United States Air Force Security Service (Military Intelligence) as a Chinese linguist, he returned home from Asia to own and operate various businesses as well as work for other employers. Among his largest companies was Melic and Mime Theatrical Productions Incorporated, where for about a decade, he and it produced scores of shows for hundreds of performances at twelve theaters in Buffalo, New York and other cities in the United States. During his theatrical impresario tenure, he also co-wrote four farcical music comedies with Tom Dudzick: "Make Your Moves with Confidence" (1973)"So's Your Old Man" (1974)"You Must Pay the Rent" (1975)"The Monkey's Choice" (1976)Aside from these plays, his writing credits include nine books: "Disaster Recover and Continuity of Business" (2008), "Vignettes From A Life," an autobiography (2015), "Short Stories From a Long Life" (2016)"Verses From a Life, Volume I," (2016) "Verses From a Life, Volume II," (2017) "Verses From a Life, Volume III" (2018) "Verses From a Life, Volume IV" (2019)"Verses From a Life, Volume V" (2020)."Verses From a Life, Volume VI" (2021). He retired as a Senior Vice President from Citi Bank Operations Center in Amherst, New York in 2008. Today, he and his wife Deborah Wollschlager Cimasi live in Bradenton, Florida.
