Van Hoytema was renowned for his intricate bird drawings. He studied drawing at the Academy of Arts where he drew and painted stuffed animals. Subsequently, his uncle, Adrian Van Oordt, arranged for Van Hoytema to start his first commissioned work, drawing scientific illustrations. Thereafter, Van Hoytema successfully published bird-themed picture books and calendars. How to use the prints.
