Bag om We the People - The Final Solution
Not since the 1942 publication of Philip Wylie's Generation of Vipers has such a critical and vituperative critique been launched against the American Government and our current culture. No aspect of American life is inviolable in this contemporary look at our disquieting, fragmented political and societal environment. With today's politically dissentious atmosphere boldly splashed across our daily newspapers, and hotly contested in our daily evening-news broadcasts, and with the many opposing political talk-show commentators verbally lambasting each other, the subjects discussed in this novel are foremost in the minds of the average citizen, and germane to the lives and welfare of us all. A timely, relevant political bombshell set in today's troubling and highly confrontational two-party political environment. Latest polling data shows that the vast majority of our voters are dissatisfied with the direction in which our country is being guided. An overwhelming majority of our voters declare their dislike for the way Congress has been conducting themselves in the past few decades. This voter discontent and anger are manifested in many visible and psychological forms: anger and disgust with the two prominent political parties; uncivil discourse in our political campaigns; voter rejection of incumbents; concern for our democratic process; fear for our national financial stability; concern for our children's futures, as well as their own; and, their Country's overall standing on the world stage. Emerging as a consequence of decades of this voter anger and discontent, a secret organization calling themselves "The Brotherhood of Concerned Citizens" sets into action its radical "Save America Plan", composed of three distinct, escalating phases. The "Brotherhood" uploads a video to YouTube addressed to President Silva, in which an unidentified narrator enumerates the many citizen dissatisfactions and concerns that his organization feels the Government must address; he sets forth a number of demands that the Government must publicly meet to avoid subsequent consequences. To assure that these demands are met, the "Brotherhood" initiates a series of coordinated, high-profile assassinations of public officials and prominent private citizens throughout the nation. This is followed by a national political and security catastrophe. The government's failure to adopt the Brotherhood's demands could bring the nation to it's knees.
