Today, far-reaching technological developments are making a deep impact on societies and economic environments worldwide. New digital platforms infrastructure (fintech, data analytics, mobility, mobile business apps, nanotech, robotics, new space economy, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, cryptocurrencies, the internet of things, cloud computing and blockchain) are drawing us inexorably into a new globalized digital economy based on knowledge and mobility. In this context of fast-paced change, new creative industries, still in a state of flux, have arisen, while others have disappeared, at least in their traditional form. Moreover, the intermixing of these new technologies has led to a redrawing of boundaries and an increase in their porosity thanks to the links that have developed between the new and the traditional industries. This extends the limits of entrepreneurship out towards new industries but also towards industries with high barriers to entry due to regulatory, technological or structural factors such as space, finance, aeronautics, IT hardware and health industries. For a growing number of people, these new technologies, considered as "external enablers", lead to a democratization of entrepreneurship and a lowering of the barriers to starting up a company by reducing (or eliminating) the difficulties inherent in the entrepreneurial phenomenon in its "classical" configuration, such as high resource intensity, uncertainty, limited time or information asymmetry. This new context, by offering new spaces for the creation, identification and exploitation of business opportunities, clearly extends the range of possibilities for a discipline such as entrepreneurship. In addition, digitalization has helped to break down the boundaries between the different phases of the entrepreneurial process. Few studies in the discipline, however, have examined the impact of these technological disruptions not only using the existing paradigms, but also by re-examining our very conception of the entrepreneurial phenomenon in terms of its evolving nature and shifting contours. The aim of this handbook is that can be used both by academics aiming to familiarize themselves with the state of research and theory within topics and subtopics in digital entrepreneurship, as well as practicing entrepreneurs and managers aiming to familiarize themselves with leading edge practices and insights in digital entrepreneurship.

This book aims to demonstrate how, over the last 25 years, the field of organization theories (OTs) has been providing stimulating, thoughtful, and innovative perspectives. It also invites graduate students and early career researchers to learn how recent theories view and portray the organization.
Kapitel 4 mündet im vollständig überarbeiteten State Preference Model. Im Kapitel zur Optionspreistheorie wird jetzt gezeigt, wie man das Black-Scholes-Modell aus dem Binomialmodell entwickeln kann.

Amid this fast and disorienting pace of change, many are instinctively looking to political leaders and world-renowned experts for answers. As a result, important conversations that should be going on have been conspicuous by their absence. In particular, these are conversations that should involve young people. If new paradigms are emerging that will one day govern how we live, work, learn and communicate, it is the youth that needs to be in the driver's seat of shaping them. The new generation needs to ensure that these paradigms reflect its values and priorities, as well as its outlook on the world and how it perceives its own place in the world. Young people have boundless energy, but they often lack inspiration and hope. This book is about supporting young minds' probing efforts with creative vision, energy and ambition.

Named one of the best books of 2021 by NPRNew York Times Bestseller and a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice pick?Masterly . . .represents an extraordinary achievement: It is comprehensive and detailed without being tedious, practical without being banal, impeccably well judged and unusually rigorous.??Daniel Markovits, New York Times Book Review?Ron Lieber is a gift.??Scott Galloway The hugely popular New York Times Your Money columnist and author of the bestselling The Opposite of Spoiled offers a deeply reported and emotionally honest approach to the biggest financial decision families will ever make: what to pay for college?a decision made even more confusing because of the Covid-19 pandemic.Sending a teenager to a flagship state university for four years of on-campus living costs more than $100,000 in many parts of the United States. Meanwhile, many families of freshmen attending selective private colleges will spend triple?over $300,000. With the same passion, smarts, and humor that infuse his personal finance column, Ron Lieber offers a much-needed roadmap to help families navigate this difficult and often confusing journey. Lieber begins by explaining who pays what and why and how the financial aid system got so complicated. He also pulls the curtain back on merit aid, an entirely new form of discounting that most colleges now use to compete with peers. While price is essential, value is paramount. So what is worth paying extra for, and how do you know when it exists in abundance at any particular school? Is a small college better than a big one? Who actually does the teaching? Given that every college claims to have reinvented its career center, who should we actually believe? He asks the tough questions of college presidents and financial aid gatekeepers that parents don't know (or are afraid) to ask and summarizes the research about what matters and what doesn't.Finally, Lieber calmly walks families through the process of setting financial goals, explaining the system to their children and figuring out the right ways to save, borrow, and bargain for a better deal. The Price You Pay for College gives parents the clarity they need to make informed choices and helps restore the joy and wonder the college experience is supposed to represent.
"The student loan industry that Sallie Mae and Congress created blew up into a crisis that would submerge a generation of Americans into $1.5 trillion in student debt. Wall Street Journal reporter Josh Mitchell tells the "vivid and compelling" ( Chicago Tribune) untold story of the scandals, scams, predatory actors, and government malpractice that have created the behemoth that one of its original architects called a "monster."--
Ryann Liebenthal's Burdened tells the maddening story of how the power plays of legislators and presidents, the commodification of higher education, and the rapacious practices of for-profit colleges and private lenders have created today's student-debt lava pit.
New technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), etc. are redefining business processes around the world at a rapid rate and resulting in both great opportunities and challenges for businesses. Though these technologies are extensively being used in developed countries, emerging economies are also not far behind. Disruptive Technologies in International Business advances the understanding of technological applications in business within an international paradigm. With its in-depth discussions of diverse topics such as the global value chain (GVC), environmental risk management, IoT, Surface Mobility, and anime, the book argues that technologies offer many advantages but there are accompanying risks, challenges, and disadvantages as well. The need of the hour is to address the impact of these technologies on the environment, society, and economy of the world. This book offers a collage of insights on how these technologies can potentially change the playing field in businesses and countries and contribute to the betterment of society. This book will provide business practitioners, international organizations, government officials, and policy makers with inspiration and new leads toward more efficient systems, policies, and operational frameworks in our increasingly technology-driven society.
Harborside founder Andrew Deangelo declares, "The thing that Javier so much that I love, is that he is a great writer, a great educator." Neeno Laflex, Budtender of the Year 2019 wrote, "The articles are amazing educational tools for anyone in the cannabis industry especially budtenders." Budtender Education Cannabis Education for Budtenders. "I need something to help me sleep" is a common request patients have for Budtenders, those serving cannabis products behind the counter at cannabis dispensaries. Budtenders are the key industrial human link between Brands and patients within cannabis retail. As more states legalize cannabis, more dispensaries form, hiring those to sell cannabis to patients. More and more people find themselves in a new profession, as a Budtender. Who educates and trains the Budtenders to help patients? Do medical officials educate Budtenders about insomnia, cancer, or other illnesses? Do dispensaries have professional relationships with hospitals? Unfortunately, no because of the federal criminalization of cannabis. There is a lack of educational training in cannabis. Federal criminalization of cannabis created the lack of a standard scientific and historical knowledge of cannabis. With a rapid legalization movement state by state, thousands of people are becoming Budtenders overnight, without the necessary training and education. As a result, tension arises at the point of exchange with patient medical needs not being met by the young industry. I dedicate this Budtender Education book series to addressing and challenging that problem, offering cutting edge quality educational cannabis content. -22 Original essays-19,000 words-Original and powerful multi-disciplinary analysis-Rich retail experience and relationships with over 100 cannabis retailers. -Author was a Budtender from 2004-07-Author is an official Oakland Equity Cannabis Business owner of Javier's Organics-Javier's Organics is the official publisher of Budtender Education-Leader of new genre of writing, Equity Cannabis literature.
