Rapid globalization has contributed to a growing number of expatriates working in foreign countries. The Global Delivery Model followed by the Indian software firms creates a number of international opportunities for Indian software professionals. This study focuses on analyzing the factors influencing expatriate job satisfaction of Indian IT employees working in USA (Florida, Texas, New York). The study discussed how Cultural adjustment influence the work environment and social-cultural adaptation. The survey was conducted among 350 Indian expatriates currently on assignment in Florida, Texas, and New York. The result concludes that there is a positive relationship between work environment, Social-cultural adaptation and Job satisfaction and the study recommends that expatriates have to be trained on host culture and environment to adjustment with the host country and which help to improve expatriate job satisfaction and complete the assignment successfully.
In today¿s world of cut-throat competition, every organization is striving hard to have an upper edge over their competitors. The organizations have realized that enhancing their employee productivity goes a long way in success of their business operations and thus productivity has become a matter of great concern amongst all. Hospitality industry is no exception to this. Hotels, a major segment of the hospitality industry and a part of the Service industry are characterized with an ¿Intangible product¿. In view of this fact, measuring employee productivity in hotels is a challenging task. Even though, hotels have accepted this challenge, productivity management systems are poorly developed and attract less attention of the management of hotels. Although it is a known fact that employment practices followed by organizations have a great impact on the productivity of its employees, the relation between employee productivity and various employment practices adopted by hotels is not clearly established. Thus, there is a need to check the impact of these employment practices on employee productivity in hotels as a major representative segment of the hospitality industry.
The Smart Government is the advanced e-Government which has been indicated as an emerging global trend in public service delivery. Besides its part mobile services are making public services more accessible to citizens, and giving opportunity to access anytime, anywhere, mobility, and portability for the public, business, and government. The utilization of Smart Government mobile service is having various numbers of challenges including complexity of different technologies, securing access, providing a common architecture, and reducing duplication among existing and new systems in the application field. In order to get over these challenges, an integrated, an innovative and comprehensive system architecture is required to design the framework of Smart Government for the mobile services. Hence, following to this study, it has designed and proposed ¿A Smart Government Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework for mobile application services¿ in order to avoid unnecessary duplication of system deployments, and to integrate common parts of the application service. The study based on literature review, as-is analysis, and case studies of developed and developing countries.
This publication deals with an important research theme involving many individuals of our modern society: the medical progress due to the robotization in hospitals. A current issue remains by integrating these robots in hospitals, alongside the patients and the medical staff. The aim of this study is to discover and understand which ¿human resources management¿ actions can be undertaken to facilitate any collaboration with the medical robots, while taking into account the current legal and ethical character. By discovering the different types of robots and their functions in the hospital environment of different countries, the research -notably inspired by the Japan- tries to reflect on diverse methods to improve this integration, while including the European Union impact and the opinion of individuals concerned and interested by any positive evolution.
