C'est dans ce contexte que les auteurs, deux chercheurs de la Chaire en entrepreneuriat et innovation de l'Université Laval, en collaboration avec la Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, ont entrepris de réaliser une étude portant sur des jeunes de la génération X et Y qui ont opté pour la reprise d'entreprise. Ils livrent dans ces pages les résultats de leur démarche. La relève entrepreneuriale: le parcours de vingt repreneurs est un ouvrage pratique, offrant des exemples concrets de reprise d'entreprises. Vingt cas de jeunes âgés entre 20 et 46 ans ayant choisi de reprendre une entreprise, qu'elle soit familiale ou non, y sont présentés. À travers leur histoire, il est possible de mieux comprendre les défis et enjeux que présente la reprise d'entreprise. Pour chacun des cas, les acteurs, le processus ainsi que des faits saillants et observations sont discutés. Des questions de réflexions sont également proposées à la fin de chaque cas, en lien avec les problématiques et défis spécifiques de ces derniers. Les lecteurs pourront constater que le parcours traversé par ces jeunes n'est pas toujours simple.
