Weltkrieg, Weimarer Republik, Note: 2,3, Universität Paderborn, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Hausarbeit über die Vorteile der Prothetik und inwiefern sie es den Invaliden des Ersten Weltkrieges ermöglicht hat, sich wieder in die Gesellschaft der Weimarer Republik zu integrieren. Von 1914 bis 1918 wütete der Erste Weltkrieg, ausgelöst durch das Attentat vom 28. Juni 1914 auf den österreichischen Thronfolger Franz Ferdinand und seine Ehefrau auf offener Straße in Sarajewo, durchgeführt von dem serbischen Nationalisten Gavrilo Princip. Doch dieser Krieg war anders: Qualitativ wie quantitativ unterschied er sich von bisher geschehenen Kriegen. Bereits die Bezeichnung eines Weltkrieges, weist daraufhin, dass eine enorme Anzahl von Staaten in diesen Krieg involviert war. Die Qualitative Änderung des Krieges wird in dem Brief eines deutschen Soldaten zusammengefasst: ¿Das ist überhaupt das Scheußlichste an diesem Krieg ¿ alles wird maschinenmäßig, man könnte den Krieg eine Industrie gewerbsmäßigen Menschenschlachtens nennen.¿ (Bieber, 2002) 1.81 Millionen deutsche Soldaten verloren in diesem Krieg ihr Leben, 4.25 Millionen kehrten verletzt Heim und 772.000 wurden zu Kriegsgefangenen. Mich interessieren diese 4.25 Millionen Kriegsinvaliden; was passierte mit ihnen als sie wieder in ihre Heimat zurückkehrten? Sie waren physisch wie auch psychisch teils schwer, teils leicht verletzt. Wie wurden sie wieder in die Gesellschaft integriert? War dies überhaupt möglich? Inwiefern hat die technische Entwicklung der Prothetik zu diesem Prozess der Wiedereingliederung beigetragen? Spezialisiert auf die Prothetik des Armes, werde ich im Laufe meiner Arbeit unter Hinzuziehung von einschlägigen Publikationen, all dies untersuchen und erarbeiten.

Protein folding has profound effects on the discovery of biopharmaceutical drugs (especially the transport of immunological compounds to their site of action) as well as on tissue engineering.
