De doctrina Christiana is a theological text written by Saint Augustine of Hippo. It consists of four books that describe how to interpret and teach the Scriptures. The first three of these books were published in 397 and the fourth added in 426.

Love. Breakup. Pain. Repeat. Love is a fire, and playing with fire gets you burned. Women's successes and failures along their journey can influence individuals and society for eternity, back from the Garden of Eden to present. Women underestimate or exploit this precious gift of influence they have to upbuild or dismantle a nation. However, when a woman loves God, every decision made regarding singleness, marriage, career, and so forth is influenced by her love for God. The world's views may influence her for a brief moment but the influence of God in her life will prevail. Eartha L. Mims was born in small rural town in South Carolina and presently lives in Clearwater, FL. She was educated in the public school system of Calhoun County. After graduation she attended South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC and received a degree in Elementary Education and master's degree in Counseling Education. After graduation she moved to Clearwater, FL and taught 5th grade for 3 years then became a school counselor at the middle school level for 33 years in Pinellas County. In the winter of 2005, received a master's degree in Educational Leadership and 2017 a doctorate degree in Education. Eartha is a member of a local church in Clearwater, FL and has taught Sunday School to youth and adult women. Currently active in the church's choir and Women on Mission. She is married and blessed with two adult sons and a daughter.

Whereas, almost all Catholic moral theologians and ethicists do not have many problems receiving the negative judgment of Donum Vitae on heterologous artificial insemination and regular IVF as procedures of generating human life, only few find it difficult and unacceptable for the Simple Case IVF to be proscribed because they consider it less problematic. The Catholic Scholars who express dissent against the evaluation and conclusion of the Magisterium on the Simple Case seem to suggest that the destruction of human embryos and the use of a donor constitute the only problem of this procedure. But their reasoning can be considered inadequate because it fails to understand the theological and moral basis for the dignity of human procreation. The fact that the Simple Case IVF violates the principle of inseparability of the conjugal act by seeking the generation of human life outside of the conjugal act makes it intrinsically illicit and unacceptable for human procreation.

In the twenty-first century, the number of people traveling to religious sacred sites on pilgrimage has increased more than at any point in human history. An increased demand for pilgrimage routes and trails with the spiritual rather than the religious walker in mind, has also led various enterprising groups and individuals to develop entirely new pilgrimage routes and trails. Education is the symbol of the modern era. The contemporary system of education has emerged as an outcome of the fast industrial development of recent centuries; factories needed workers, and these workers had to gain some special skills to work with machines. Bacon knowledge had been perceived rather as wisdom (important principles related to how to live righteously, or how to avoid dangerous situations, etc.) than as an instrument for achieving certain goals, the modern times established the principle of knowledge as power. Only by knowing the world which surrounds them, human beings are capable of controlling it. This principle was not the only one emerging in modernity. The modern era brought about a special feeling of optimism about mankind's future. It envisaged our common future as times of universal social equality, nice and pleasant jobs, reconciliation and peace at the international level. Philosophers like Descartes, Kant, Hegel, SaintSimon, and others preached that the intellect is the main human instrument for achieving eternal peace and common well-being. Cartesian rationalism (the philosophy of Descartes) aspired for comprehending the universal truth, the truth which would unite the whole of mankind and overcome all religious divisions.

The sacred stories of the Holy Scriptures are of immeasurable value. They carry the message of the Good News, that God sent his only Son into the world to be our Savior. These sacred stories contain intrinsic power within themselves to convey their message directly into the heart. Handle carefully, they are alive and give life!Telling the sacred story begins at home, for the child's first teacher is their parent and their first textbook is the Bible. "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the LORD swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth." In some traditions the baptismal service includes a question to the congregation, "Will you who witness these vows do all in your power to support these persons in their life in Christ?" The answer is clear and strong, "We will!"The sacred stories are not being told to our children. The prophet Hosea writes, "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6) Only a single generation sustains the transmission of our faith and it is our responsibility to tell our children. Our Lord said, "...when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8) Our purpose is clear; our mission is right; we have been given the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, therefore we cannot delay. Tell the Good News! The Kingdom of God is here and now! Change your mind and believe the Gospel. Amen."Bible Plays for Children" provide another way communicating the sacred stories to our children. Hearing the story or reading the text has tremendous value and cannot be diminished in any way, however acting out a story takes the message even further into the heart. Children learn by imitation and are innately capable of role-play. A child with a toy truck becomes a firefighter or with a small doll assumes the role of a caregiver or with a simple stick becomes a major league baseball player.In the time and space provided by most churches for Christian Education there is a unique opportunity to communicate with our children the sacred stories of Scripture.
