Den første professionelle boksekamp i Danmark fandt sted i 1896 mellem Jim Smith og P.L. Jacobsen. Jim Smith drog udenlands som 13-årig under navnet Johannes Jørgensen og vendte hjem som boksemesteren Jim Smith - stamfaderen til dansk professinel boksning. En gribende biografi om Jørgen Gamle Hansen Jørgen Hansen er en af de største og mest karismatiske boksere i dansk boksnings historie. I'm not sure what possessed Adam to write a book about such a flawed character as Thad Spencer, but I'm glad he did. The book is extremely well researched and makes for fine reading. I highly recommend the book to anyone who would like to learn more about this period of heavyweight boxing history.
