Trecheon Omnir lives every day in a fog of cynicism. Then he meets Matt, a strange quilar with literal elemental magic who hates him based solely on his last name, and a past he doesn't understand. Without warning, Trecheon is thrust into a war of magic, kings, and monsters - and he's not sure he'll survive it.
