Byzantine Commentaries on Aristotle's "Rhetoric" - Melpomeni Vogiatzi - Bog

The first extant commentaries on Aristotle¿s Rhetoric come from the 12th century AD, namely the ones written by an anonymous author and by Stephanus. This book examines for the first time the context in which the two commentaries were written, the identity and features of their authors and the philosophical ideas expressed in them. This examination provides a better understanding of the reception of Aristotle¿s Rhetoric in Byzantium.
