DAMN What a Disaster is a book about skateboarding. Actually, it is really a book about disasters. Go figure. Not just any disaster, but some of the greatest disasters to have ever occurred, at least in recorded history.
There are 25 different types of disasters in the book. Disasters that range from airplane crashes to wild fires. Both natural disasters and man-made disasters. Disasters that didn't kill anyone, but by any definition would be called a disaster, to disasters that killed millions. There are disasters examined that occurred thousands of years ago and disasters which occurred in the last decade.
What makes DAMN What a Disaster unique is the way in which the disasters are described. The magnitude of the various disasters are described in such a way that they are easily put into perspective. It is difficult for the average person to put millions of fatalities into perspective. In this book, comprehending massive fatalities is made much easier to understand.
If you thought this book was really a book about skateboarding then please don't read any further, you'll be sadly disappointed. DAMN What a Disaster is a book about disasters, described in a different way.
