Bag om Dandelions
Meet Laura and Tammy, a couple of kids who just happen to be country girls who were shocked to find a sidewalk when they visited their city living Grandmother. Not used to sidewalks, they thought they had to walk along the paved street, because the sidewalk must surely be someone else's property. And they didn't want to trespass!
But this book isn't about sidewalks, or chickens and horses, or even about the famous Miss Piggy! This is a book about life and what life means! And the stories are simple ones filled with humor and big meanings.
If you would like to know a bit more about country life, and about what it feels like to grow up in the country as a true country kid, then you may learn something about that from this book.
So go running with the chickens and the ducks, even if it is only in your imagination, and think about what it means to follow your dreams as you run wild under the country sun.
And anyway, perhaps Laura and Tammy weren't as carefree as they might seem. Because being carefree did not mean the absence of hopes, dreams and goals. And they did go to the city for parts of their dreams. Just read, and smile, and cry and laugh, and note that this isn't really the entire story. This is simply the parts of the big story that have been chosen to be told.
