Elegant Figures in the Mist - Anonymous Author - Bog

This collection of short poems is inspired by Japanese traditional haiku and zen poetry, and the romantic influences of the Heian classical work: The Tale of Genji (Genji monogatari) by Murasaki Shikibu, a court lady of the early 11th century. Each poem in this book was written by the author to capture the essence of a fleeting moment, in the manner in which a camera captures an image -- carefully chosen words conveying the transience of beauty in nature, the overwhelming effect of an emotion or the poignant recollection of the memory of a loved one.
