Bag om Fantastic Adventures: What would YOU do?
'Fantastic Adventures' is a children's book containing 12 different adventures. At heart, it is an archetypal book about ethics. Each story introduces the character and outlines a scene where a decision has to be made. The reader is asked to choose an action that is best for all concerned. Each story is concluded later in the book. The issue is resolved with a cheerful ending as the central character takes positive action, using their personal skills and abilities to solve each dilemma.For example, in the story 'Heroes and Villains', River, a quiet, peaceful boy, is faced with a decision. Three town bullies are riding their bicycles and deliberately trying to run over a family of ducks. Their leader, Ethan, is flung off his bike and lands unconscious in a stream. His friends ride off and leave him there. What should River do? What would you do in a similar situation?'Fantastic Adventures' may be used to initiate discussion about personal attitudes, morals and ethics. It may be used by parents, teachers and youth leaders for such purposes. The book can also be read for the sheer pleasure of enjoying each adventure.
