According to Castle in an instance horror is an emotion, extreme and shocking and while we might abhor and have aversion to horror, we are also attracted to it. We want read about horrors and some of us want to write. But horror genre in natural or supernatural form should not be at odd with the basic cultural and religious beliefs, as in this case it leads young adults to the excessive imagination and separate them from fact. As it is said in south news concept used in this genre causes the defamilarization and use of strange and unusual interpretations and phrase will lead Persian youth in the unreal world and it is because of cultural differences between Iranian culture and European culture. Then some translators say that it should be omitted from young adults' literature. On the other hand some others are disagreeing with omission of this genre. Then in this paper, the researcher analysis the advantages and disadvantages of this genre based on translators opinions and some examples from different books to see whether it should be omitted or presented.

"Teacher-talk" is defined as speech used by teachers that is characteristically modified in four areas: phonology, lexis (consisting of morphology and vocabulary), syntax, and discourse. The phenomenon of teacher-talk has captured the attention of researchers for some time. Anyone who has ever taught English as a second or foreign language is aware of the immensity of the task. In fact, it is no longer deemed sufficient to teach the nuts and bolts of language¿grammatical competence. Also important are sociolinguistic competence, the ability to produce and understand the appropriate remark at the appropriate time; discourse competence, the ability to produce a unified, coherent text in a given genre; and strategic competence, knowledge of how to repair, maintain, enhance, or facilitate communication.
Metacognition defined as the knowledge and ability to monitor and control cognitive conditions in the learning process (Flavell, 1979). Listening is the most important skill of the four language skills in both learning and teaching, and plays an important role in our daily life. Although nowadays there is a deeper perception of listening, it needs more attention and research. The present study investigates the relationship between the Metacognitive awareness and listening performance of English as foreign language learners to pave the way for new studies in future.
Code switching (CS) or the alternation of languages by bilinguals has attracted an enormous amount of researchers¿ attentions. Although many empirical and theoretical studies have been done in CS field, there have not been adequate studies in Iranian bilingual settings. Furthermore, studying on students¿ attitudes toward CS from personality traits (PT) perspective is completely a new topic all around the world. Based on a comprehensive survey of the literature, no similar study could be found in Iran and the world except for two research papers in non-educational setting in abroad. Due to this critical gap in CS, this book focused on the relationship between MA EFL students¿ PT including extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience sub-scales and their attitudes toward teachers¿ CS behavior in Urmia, Iran. In addition, the overall attitudes of students toward teachers¿ CS behavior were discussed. This book as a completely unique research in educational setting can help bilingual English teachers to reflect on their CS behavior, and also provides researchers and students with a coherent and up-to-date survey in this significant area.
In knowledge ¿ based platform, the term ¿education¿ is a totally popular item which is spoken by majority of people or groups while, understood by a very few in its right perspective. As the role of education in global context, it is confirmed that education is becoming totally an international item in pedagogy which aims to support or actively encourage further the progress of the idea that every individual deserves the right to be educated regardless of his/her background.

Music opens the door to better language and literacy skills. By memorizing simple nursery songs, your child is exposed to new words. Songs create repetition and reinforce new words that your child is learning on a daily basis. The most important part of learning a language is talking with native speakers. The second most important part? Self-study. Songs are great for self-study because they make your study sessions fun. Having fun while you study is a really effective way to learn.
Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Informatik - Sonstiges, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: The use of technology in language learning and teaching programs is very essential. The present study was set out to investigate the effects of E-mail writing on improving EFL learners' written communication and autonomy. The participants of the study were 44 female and male sophomore students, by the age of 18-21 who were randomly assigned to the two groups of experimental and control. Each group consisted of 22 participants. The course lasted for 5 months, and was held in one of the universities in Urmia, Iran. The first group (experimental group) sent their assignments through emails in addition to the traditional class activities but the second group (control group) had the traditional class and assignments were handed in hard copies. For measuring the written communication, a pre-test and post-test was administered to both groups. The pre- and post-tests were criterion reference tests (recognition tests and productive writing activities), based on the materials covered in the class. The pre- and post-tests were parallel recognition tests and productive writing tasks. In order to measure the participants' level of autonomy, the Learner Autonomy Questionnaire, developed by Kashefian (2002), with 40 items in a five-point Likert scale was given to them. The obtained data was analyzed through the SPSS software. The results of this study will be useful for language teachers, learners, administrators and material developers.

Listening is the most important skill of the four language skills in both learning and teaching, and plays an important role in our daily life. Although nowadays there is a deeper perception of listening, it needs more attention and research. Accordingly, the present study investigates the relationship between the Metacognitive awareness and listening performance of male Dentistry students in EGP course in Urmia University of Medical Sciences (UMSU). To do so, 50 Iranian male Dentistry students were participated in this study. They completed Metacognitive Awareness Listing Questionnaire (MALQ) and listening section of the final exam. First, the listening section of final exam was applied to the participants at classrooms by the teacher. Immediately after the administration of the examination, the MALQ were conducted. The analysis exposed a weak positive relationship between learners` Metacognitive awareness scores and listening performance. Academic Paper from the year 2018 in the subject English Language and Literature Studies - Linguistics, Urmia University (International Students Admission Department), course: TEFL, language: English, abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between MA English students¿ personality traits (PT) and their attitudes toward university teachers¿ code switching (CS) in Urmia, Iran. In addition to that purpose, the correlation between each sub-scale of PT, including extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience, and teachers¿ CS is analyzed. Finally, the overall attitudes of MA TEFL English students toward CS behavior are discussed, as well. To this end, 150 MA English students (70 males and 80 females) from State and Azad universities of Urmia City participated in this study. Two instruments were used for data collection: In order to measure students¿ PT, the Big Five Inventory designed by John & Srivastava, 1999, was administered. Secondly, to measure students¿ attitudes toward teachers¿ CS, the questionnaire developed by Mingfa Yoa (2011) was used. According to the results, no significant relationship was found between the PT of students and their attitudes toward teachers¿ CS. Furthermore, there was no significant relationship between students' PT and their attitudes toward CS regarding the five sub-scales of PT. The findings of the study indicate that the majority of students have similar attitudes toward the CS phenomenon. Their overall attitudes were positive toward teachers¿ CS, and the majority of students agreed with CS in EFL settings. As a result, it was revealed that CS is an acceptable behavior in the EFL context from MA TEFL students¿ perspectives.
