Tim Littlefeather and Amos Corngrower follow the footsteps of their fathers in Law Enforcement and battling the Supernatural. Join them as they step out of the shadows of their boyhood heroes and become men of action in modern-day Oklahoma.
Just before and at the beginning of the US Civil War Indian Territory was an untamed lawless place filled with Indians, outlaws teamsters, farms, towns folks and houses of ill repute. The Five Civilized Tribes were slaveholders, but were radically different than their white counterparts. There was strict laws concerning the abuse of slaves and after seven years of servitude the slave was given his or her freedom and given the choice of being adopted by the tribe. When hostilities broke out between the North and the South the Indians joined the Confederacy and fought in the Battle of Elkhorn Tavern at Pea Ridge, Arkansas. My family built and owned Elkhorn Tavern until the State of Arkansas bought it at "Fair market value" and donated it to the US Parks Department. I do not consider this work of historical fiction to be a war book, though set in the Civil War Era. It is more about the people that lived in those times and their way of life.
The sixth novel in the Ray Corngrower series, The Manitou takes the reader from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other, as John, Ray, Ted and Grayson must learn to use a spiritual power to overcome evil.
John Littlefeather and his son Timmy are on vacation in the wilderness of Washington State, when John meets the woman he loves. There is a small problem. He has to rescue her after she is kidnapped by one of The People Who Live in the Forest. Back home, in Bristow, Oklahoma, a blow to Ray's head causes him to regress into a savage that lived two hundred years ago. A savage whose primary goal is to kill John Littlefeather and take his wife and child as his own.
This is the third volume of the Ray Corngrower Series. While John Littlefeather tries to survive the harsh Alaskan tundra, he finds that it is not just the animals and climate are savage. In Oklahoma, both Ray and Ted find that one crime can easily lead into something much worse . Kick back in your chair and relax. Take off your shoes and get comfortable. There are stories I would tell.
This the final book in the Trail of Blood on Ice Trilogy Tip and his wife, Millie, are faced with the trials of preparing for the long trip West. Bustah and Willimina help in their preparations, though their hearts aren't in it, as they also are trying to help family of settlers that live nearby. On the plains hide hunters and Indians face the hardship and hazards of their day to day life made all the more difficult by a certain US Army General named Custer.
The fifth in the Ray Corngrower series. Creek Nation Lighthorse Sergeant John Littlefeather is sent to Nevada with an extradition warrant. When he arrives, he finds that his prisoner has been released, John disguised as a prospector, hopes to make a citizen's arrest, but instead must make a strange alliance in order to challenge a greater evil, than the man he is after.
According to both Cherokee and Creek legend U tuin ta' also known as Spear Finger was a blood sucking liver eating monster killed ages ago. However. A series of strange murders in the area of Bristow, Oklahoma indicate she has returned. Deputy Ray Corngrower and John Littlefeather are joined by many in hopes of stopping this terror once and for all.
Not many know of the Five Civilized Tribes involvement in the US Civil War. This story is the second of "The Trail of Bood on Ice" trilogy that is not intended to be a war story, but in order to tell of the characters life and times it must be presented in a war setting. I hope that you enjoy the reading as much as I have the writing. J C
