U.S. Army Sergeant Harry Archer has been listed as 'missing in action' since the Vietnam War ended 40 + years ago. When he suddenly escapes his Vietnamese captors with the aide of a Vietnamese woman whose father was an American soldier, he's armed with the knowledge of a classified top-secret agreement that was privately reached between former U.S. President Richardson and North Vietnam's leader. The agreement enabled Vietnam to retain specific POWs with skills vital to the rebuilding that country. The hand- picked men were reclassified as 'missing in action' and destined to remain in Vietnam for the rest of their lives. It would be considered restitution for damages inflicted by America and in return a pre-ordained 'peace with honor' would be reached. When the Vietnamese Government notifies the current President of the United States of his escape, he acts in accordance with that agreement and orders the CIA to track down Sergeant Archer and kill him before the agreement is exposed. Within hours Harry Archer is leading a cloak and dagger life as the CIA is determined to kill him and keep the Government's heinous act of so many years earlier hidden from the public. Enter Allison George, a reporter for the D.C. Telegraph Newspaper and member of several organizations trying to have the POW/ MIA issue from the Vietnam War resolved. Her brother had been a member of Harry's platoon until he was killed in action. The Sergeant remembers that the soldier was always talking about his sister being a reporter and when he quietly reaches Washington, D.C. he contacts the woman. She finds his story unbelievable until he escorts her to the Vietnam War Memorial where he reveals things only known to her and her brother.

Nothing could prepare Abby and Martin Raynes for the brutal shock of hearing the word 'autism' in conjunction with their child. In one fell swoop, all their hopes and dreams were smashed into a thousand tiny fragments. What was once just a word in the dictionary becomes a living, breathing part of their lives. As she desperately seeks help for her son, Abby battles her own fears and dwindling hopes for her child's future. Then one day, while playing at the park, a black Labrador approaches Joshua and Abby. Joshua and the stray develop an instant connection. Despite her own aversion to dogs, Abby can't bring herself to leave the emaciated dog behind. Reluctantly, she brings the dog home, hoping to reunite it with its owner or find her a good home. But it soon becomes apparent the dog's bond with Joshua is anything but ordinary. Is it just wishful thinking, or has the dog succeeding in breaking through the walls of Joshua's autism?Hope for Joshua delves into the emotional and physical turmoil of raising a child on the autism spectrum. Although this book is a work of fiction, it is based on countless true stories of non-verbal individuals on the autism spectrum who found their voice through interactions with an animal. It raises awareness to the realities of autism and introduces readers to the benefits often derived from interaction with dogs, especially those trained as autism service dogs.

President Ramaphosa stated, "Land is a very broad, as well as a complex issue, and it has to be handled very delicately because around land there is quite a lot of emotion".This is an incisive, relevant book which tackles recent, and sometimes explosive issues like the land reform and expropriation in South Africa and the outbreaks of xenophobia in same country. The essays also delve into such contentious issues as the continued exploitation of the African women and children, the need for Africa to build strong a tradition of strong institutions as opposed to strong personalities. The book highlights and celebrates the exemplary economic accomplishments scored by some of Africa`s sons and daughters in the 21st century. Every school leader who is charged with guiding a school has a desire to develop a climate that is welcoming and attractive to each person who walks the halls of their building. This climate must be strong enough to last throughout the school year on a consistent basis, not just once in a while! So how do the leaders of today move their schools from a "carnival atmosphere" to a "Theme Park" climate? In Carnivals 2 Theme Parks Jack Birmingham develops the interesting and light-hearted analogy of transforming our schools from simply having those "carnival" moments to a more concerted and deliberate framework of building a desirable "theme park" climate for their students, staff and parents. Carnivals 2 Theme Parks will share leadership strategies as well as self-assessment opportunities that will help nurture the school's environment through TRUST, RESPECT, and FUN, while taking an enjoyable look down memory lane of the landscape of our amusement parks!

The Tenth LifeEveryone knows cats have nine lives! Or at least it seems they do, given the scrapes they get themselves in and out of. This is primarily the story of Maxwell Magee, a tuxedo housecat companion to Hugh Magee for over 17 years. His time on earth came to an end, and off he went to the Rainbow Bridge, where for the next 26 years (in human time, not heaven's time) he was for the most part the be all and know all cat for the others he knew or came to know. He enjoyed a special relationship with Andrew, one of the angels of death who accompanied animals as they made their way to the great Rainbow Bridge we've all heard about in legends.
