In troubleshooting my life with addictions, I discovered the root of all my life struggles. My addiction didn't start the first time I drank alcohol or indulged in drugs or even had sex, it all stemmed from the root of Sin. It was that shame that held me in the midst of trying to adapt to my life in attempting healthy relationships with people and with Jesus Christ. After the roller coaster rides of failure and disappointment, not only was I in a crisis, but America was also in a crisis. Our culture was in poverty and at war. Families were migrating from the south to the north to escape the stronghold of racism and poverty. They were looking for hope for a better future for their families, only to discover that no matter where you move, there will still be trouble unless you have Christ in your heart. Only God can bring us from sin and shame to glory. The glory of God can restore and deliver us out of any crisis of addiction. Prayerfully, and under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I have written this book as a tool of recovery. It is my prayer that you, too, will discover the who, what, when, where, and why of ACTION.
