The article further highlights the existence of Arabu-Tamil commentaries and of the Qur'anic translations, underscoring the contributions of Tamil Muslims in bringing the Qur'anic message to Tamil-speaking communities. These Arabu-Tamil works served as the foundation for subsequent Tamil commentaries and translations, ensuring the continuity of the interpretive tradition. The article also sheds light on the variety of topics covered by Tamil scholars in their works on Qur'an. It explores the translations of particular Chapters of Qur'an, the compilation of Tafsir (commentaries) in Tamil, and the exploration of themes such as the stories of prophets, descriptions of paradise and hell, and the role of women in the Qur'an.
