The Healing follows the events of a weekend as Navy Chaplain, Charles Willingham and his wife Teresa renew their old friendship with the Crockett family. The Chaplain had the reluctant task a year earlier of telling the family about the tragic death of their oldest son Travis while he was on a mission in Afghanistan with his Navy SEAL platoon.
