The year is 1932. Dr. John Rocklan, an arrogant trauma physician, attempts to bury the memory of a personal tragedy by disappearing into the Bitterroot Mountains of Idaho. Seeking solitude, Rocklan purchases an old ranch deep in a remote valley among the peaks of the Maseah Range. There, he hopes to put his past behind him through isolation and reinvention.
