Bag om Now I Layme
The title of this book is taken from my understanding of the 'The Children's Prayer', as learned at age three. It starts out: ""Now I lay me down to sleep..."" because it was run together, I thought 'lay me' was one word. It didn't make sense to me, but it didn't bother me at the time, so I never learned differently. No! What did bother me was the part about: ""If I should die before I wake!"" who cares what 'layme' means when you might die in your sleep?
This book bares the soul of a life with so much promise that took every wrong turn with the influence of an alcoholic father and a war-scarred step-father. This journey deals with hopelessness, helplessness, utter despair, a spark of hope, an amazing unworldly ray of light, and an incredibly godly woman. You could say it is the spirit of God against the spirits of alcohol.
Many positive and powerful changes have occurred since my marriage to my third wife, Fredia. Some things so simple as learning to love a puppy. Who knew?
