Bag om Playing The Trump Card
This book compares the plight of African Americans in the United States of America today to that of the Israelites in the Bible. The Israelites were led out of slavery by God's servant Moses and his brother Aaron. They were ultimately led by Joshua into the Promised Land following the deaths of Moses and Aaron. The author draws parallels between the lives of the Israelite leaders, Moses and Aaron and the African American leaders, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X respectively. Since the deaths of Dr. King and Malcolm X, African Americans have been wandering in the wilderness of economic inequality and social inequity. In this particular work, the author provides concrete answers to the questions: Where is the Joshua for African Americans today and who will lead them into the Promised Land? The author seeks to capture what he feels would be the feelings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., if he was alive today. This book also seeks to explore the role of faith in the shaping of the collective destiny of African Americans. This literary work contains within it, concrete solutions that will awaken the reader and inspire them to reach the Promised Land that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of over fifty years ago.
