Bag om Poetry to Ponder
This, his most recent book, "Poetry to Ponder," is a little different from his previous works in that it includes some of his sonnets and some non-rhyming poems and villanelles and hsinkus. The diversity of his subjects and style is truly amazing. It also highlights several exceptional poems that garnered 1st place in international contests and others that were judged from second to sixth places. The beauty of Rex's writing lies partly in the fact that it is easy to understand. Yet the work, while retaining its clarity, is still thought provoking and full of meaning, and in many ways becomes a valiant blueprint for the good life. There are no illustrations in this book, but each selection has an introductory remark from the author telling where, when or how it came to be. It is a timeless and pleasant volume that everyone will enjoy.
