Ragnar Jónasson er en krimi forfatter født i 1976 i Reykjavik, Island. Han er forfatteren bag den meget succesfulde Hulda Hermannsottir trilogi. Andre udvalgte bøger han har skrevet som også består af en serie er The Dark Iceland serien fra 2010 som består af: Snowblind, Blackout, Rupture, Whiteout, Nightblind og Winterkill.. Hans bøger er anerkendt verden om og han har opnået nye højder med Hulda Hermannsottir trilogien som anses for værende en milepæl i krimigenren.
