Rilla Of Ingleside - Lucy Maud Montgomery - Bog

Bag om Rilla Of Ingleside

Rilla of Ingleside published in 1921 is the eighth book in the series of Anne of Green Gables, written by Canadian Lucy Maud Montgomery, although it was the sixth that the author wrote. In this novel, attention turns on a central character, Rilla Blythe, the youngest daughter of Anne and Gilbert. It is written with more serious than its predecessors tone, as the story takes place during the years of World War I, in which both the children of Ana as those of their neighbors and friends, will have to go to fight in the front. It is interesting the fact that Rilla of Ingleside, is the only Canadian novel that has been written from the perspective of a woman, World War I by a writer of the time.
